Dear jwburns,

First of all.. please forgive the delay. I've been really swamped, and I want to say THANK YOU for your kind words regarding my review. I'm really trying to bring accurate and fair reviews to folks just like you!

It seems like you and my friend Mike should talk. He is an "old timer" as well and just got in to airguns. (he got me hooked!) His first rifle was the Crosman G1 Extreme and he loves everything about it but the weight and the fact that it does not have open sights.

I don't have too much info for you about where Crosman guns are made. I do believe that BAM and Crosman are at different plants, but I could be wrong so don't quote me on it!

In general the Crosman rifles ARE underrated. In general their stuff is pretty good and Crosman stands behind their products. Which is a good think because about 1/2 of what I've reviewed had to go back and get fixed, but for the price, they are hard to beat.

When it comes to the BAM guns. You'll pay a little more than you would for a Crosman, but not anywhere near what you'll pay for an RWS. The BAM line of rifles, starting with the B26 and working up from there, are really excellent guns. My favorite is the B26. I don't think there is a better gun out there for the money. Open sights are my preference (did not used to be), and my friend Mike can hold a nickel sized group with a bench rest at 20 yards with his .177 and open sights.

I hope that you'll continue to visit the site and lend your comments. I've got a new review coming out this weekend or early next week, the B50 PCP from BAM. If you really want to spend about a month (or more) reading some really good reviews, visit www.pyramid.com/blog. That is where I got my feet wet.

Thanks again for your comments and we hope to see ya back here soon!

Ok, I have been in Professional Tech Sales for years and know a professional evaluation when I see one. Yours is great. I am new to air gunning, am a old timer, but the bug has bit me big time. I have done more research in the past month than I think 50% o the population has done in 1 decade. I really want to learn about air guns. It all started with the crosman storm in a walmart store. My first air gun at the age of 55. I shot this weapon for about 3 weeks, and then bought a RWS mdl.34. OK, RWS, speaks for itself in quality. But I want to learn from the ground up. Tell me, please about Crosman. Where in China is it made? How is the Quality? Is the factory that make crosman related to BAM? The gun compares to the
RWS in my opinion in spring power, maybe not as strong but close. For $99.00 any kid or at least any kid when I was 15 would have loved this gun. For some reason I think Crosman is really under rated. I love my RWS 34, will keep this quality gun in my rack for my son and shoot it, will start a new collection of fine air rifles from the ground floor up. I am intrigued by the Crosman product. Where can I get a real evaluation of this company?
Thanks so much
and keep up the great work.
