Crosman Quest 1000 – VIDEO

Finally we are getting back to business with some new product reviews and videos.  We received many requests for us to review this product.  It is the Crosman Quest 1000.  It is a break barrel rifle that boasts up to 1000 FPS with a single cock of the rifle.  It comes with a Crosman 4×32 scope and mounts.

Our test rifle tested our patience, but in the end….. well watch the video and find out!

Hey Rick, Got a quick question for you. I have a Gamo CFX and I need the whole trigger group. Any ideas where I could pick one up. From what I can tell the sear has either worn or is broken off. A sear would work but I would like to go with the GRT trigger when I get it running again. I purchased the gun from a friend and new it had a few problems i.e. broken spring, etc. Any help would be appreciated. Keep up the good work and glad to see you back with the reviews.

    Kevman,

It is good to be back writing again. I had to take some time off.. got a little burned out. Anyway, I’d call Gamo’s customer service and see if you can just order the parts directly from them. If that doesn’t work let me know.

    Thanks for the comments.

Hey Rick, this review was great. I saw the video on youtube and thought it was cool. The video reviews that you make are very cool and i learn alot. I just bought a ruger airhawk and it is simiar to the crossmen quest. It is a break barrel in .177 and is advertised at 1000 fps. it has wood stocks and a 4 by 32 scope on it. the crossmen premier hollows shoot exellent in the ruger airhawk. I wanted to ask if you would reveiw this gun, possibly a video. at pyramyd air it is only alittle over 100 bucks.

  • AirHead says:

I will take a look at the Ruger when I have time. I know Pyramyd will let me have one for review. I’ve got a couple other of their products right now that I’m working with and need to get them off my plate first. Thanks for the comments.

what is the difference with this and the storm xt?

  • AirHead says:

From what I understand… the only difference is where you by it and who warrantees it. The Quest 1000x is a Crosman Supported product, sold through sporting goods stores. The Storm is sold through Wal-mart and I’m not sure how the warranty works. I may be wrong, but that is what I’ve heard.

odd that PA has both listed with the 1000 being 10 bucks less

  • AirDUDE says:

Hey Rick, I was wondering, which gun you would choose between the Crosman G1 Extreme, and the Crosman Quest 1000X? Also is the Quest hold sensitive at all?

  • AirHead says:

um… I’d pick the Gamo Big Cat.

hey Rick, if i had a crosman quest 1000x could i use the same pellets i used in the 1000x in a 500x?
    Thanks

  • AirHead says:

I’m not sure what worked best in the Quest.. I believe I talk about it in the video. I don’t have the gun anymore.

    Thanks for your comments.

I know this is an old post for you but I have just seen the video and I own this gun and wanted to comment on the trigger situation. I had the same problems with the trigger that you did but I found one simple fix. If you replace the adjustment screw with a longer one you can take alot of the creep out of the trigger. I went a little further and took it apart and worked on the sear and polished the whole mechanism. It now breaks at about 1 1/2 pounds and is very crisp. I know this voids the warranty but I figured for the price of the gun I was willing to take the chance. The screw replacement is an easy fix for anyone. Just wanted to put my two cents in. Thanks for providing a great forum for us shooting nuts.
