Real world Airgun Reviews – "Facts not Fluff"

October 2014 Fun Shoot with Havasu Airgunners! was a very happy supporter and participant at the recent Havasu Airgunners Fun ShootHavasu Airgunners holds monthly “Fun Shoots” the first Saturday of every month down at the Lake Havasu Sportsman Club, Pistol Bay 3.  This most recent event was sponsored by Umarex USA and features a slew of great rifles and hand guns.

There were airgunners of all ages at this month’s shoot and all the great Umarex Products got a good workout.  Some of the most notable products were the Beretta 92FS, the Ruger Yukon, the brand new NXG APX Multi-Pump Pneumatic youth oriented airgun, and the incredibly popular Umarex Fusion which is arguably one of the quietest airguns you can buy.

Some of my favorite airguns of all time are imported by Umarex.  The Walther Dominator, the Hammerli 850 Air Magnum, and my new favorite breakbarrel pistol the RWS LP8 were all available for folks to shoot.  This is such a great service that’s provided by Havasu Airgunners and all the various sponsors. It’s one thing to see these airguns on a website or watch videos on youtube, but it’s another thing to actually get behind one and pull the trigger.  It’s a big part of why I love helping with these shoots.  Of course having great sponsors like Umarex who are willing to help support the efforts really makes a huge difference.

To help support the event Umarex donated an Umarex Surge .177 airgun.  While this airgun is easy on the wallet, it doesn’t skimp on build quality, power, or accuracy.  I’ve shot one for a while now and it’s a great entry level airgun, perhaps one of the best on the market today.  The winner of the Shoot-Off competition was Tanner Town, a brand new airgunner who got to shoot his first airguns today and wound up taking one home.  How cool is that!

Here are some great images of the shoot.  To learn more about Havasu Airgunners, Umarex USA or, just follow the related links.  We hope to see you at one of our shoots very soon!!!

Thank you to everyone that has helped out with the various medical bills from 2017.  As many of you know I was taken to the ER early February and spent a week in the hospital.  I was able to get insurance this year which is a big help, but the deductibles come up to $6500. Additionally, I was out of state and out of network.  You all that have insurance know what I’m talking about here.  We don’t know they will and won’t cover at this point.  The important thing is that I’m doing very well and back on track.  I want to thank the Lord for pulling me through all of this and trust that He will complete the work he has started.  Thank you all again for all your support along the way.
